AI search looks things up while it answers. It fetches pages, reads them and names what it finds. That is separate from what the model remembers from training. Your pages can reach an AI answer within days, without waiting for a new model. The pages it picks answer one question directly and sit on a site it already trusts.

A model carries what it read during training. That part is set until the next version ships. Nothing you write this week changes it.
AI search works the other way. The assistant runs a search while it writes, opens pages and takes what it needs. This is the part you can move.

AI search opens a page looking for the answer to one question. A page that opens with the answer gives it something to use. A page that opens with the story of the business gives it nothing.
Write the plain facts near the top. What you do. Where you do it. What it costs. How fast. Those are the lines that end up in an answer.

Read last, and trusted least
AI leans on pages other people wrote about you. A review site carries more weight than your own description of yourself. So does a list of the best shops in your town.
Check it: ask ChatGPT for the best business like yours in your town, then look at which sites it links. Those links are your real target.
Check what AI says about you now
Ask an assistant the question your buyers ask. Use the words they use, not your industry words. Read who it names and which pages it links.
Do it more than once. Answers move between runs, so one run tells you little. Our manual check walks through it step by step.
Make sure AI can open your pages
None of this works on a site AI cannot read. A rule in a file called robots.txt can shut the crawlers out, and a firewall can do the same thing.

How long this takes
A page you fix today can appear in a live AI answer once the crawlers come back. Nobody publishes that schedule, so treat it as days to weeks.
Getting named on other people's pages runs slower. A review takes as long as your customers take. A place on a best-of list takes as long as the writer takes. That work pays for years once it lands.
Questions
Is AI search the same as AI Overviews?+
They work the same way and appear in different places. AI Overviews sit at the top of a Google results page. ChatGPT and Perplexity answer inside a chat. All of them fetch live pages before answering.
Do I need new pages, or can I fix the ones I have?+
Fix what you have first. Move the plain answer to the top of the page and add the facts a buyer asks about. A new page only helps when you have a question no existing page answers.
Does my website need to rank on Google first?+
It helps and it is not required. AI search runs its own search and reads pages it finds. A page nobody links to is harder for it to find, so the two problems overlap without being the same problem.
What does the snuup check show me?+
It asks the assistants the questions your buyers ask and shows you the answers they give about your business. You see who gets named instead of you, what the answers get wrong, and the problems on your own site that keep you out.
How often should I check?+
Answers change between runs and between weeks, so a single look tells you little. Check after you change something, then again a month later. Run the snuup check again to compare the same questions over time.
Do paid ads put me in AI answers?+
No. Assistants build answers from pages they read, and ad spend does not reach that. The way in is being described well on pages AI already trusts.
